Mavs fall at home to Bucks

The Dallas Mavericks lost for the second time this season to the best team in the league the Milwaukee Bucks 122-107 as Giannis Antetokounmpo got the best of fellow European star Luka Dončić. Dončić is all that’s left from the starting lineup the Mavs put together in the offseason.

Antetokounmpo scored 29 points and 17 rebounds in 31 minutes to lead the Bucks to their sixth straight victory. “Antetokounmpo is a great player, but 80 points in the paint is just ridiculous,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. “In this league, you have to be able to guard penetration… with a level of force and will. We did not do that.”

Dončić had 20 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The Mavs will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
