LOS ANGELES – The Dallas Mavericks ended their back-to-back games with a loss against the Los Angeles Lakers 108-95. This was the second time the Mavericks and the Lakers met in December – Dallas won double digit in their first matchup this month and Lakers won double digit in their last game of 2019.

Dallas’ fans were terrified when Luka Dončić laid on the floor for a few minutes after a hard foul by Dwight Howard in the first quarter. The sophomore sensation hit two free throws and left to the locker room for the rest of the half.

Dončić returned in the second half and led the Mavericks with 19 points, four rebounds and seven assists.

Anthony Davis scored game-high 23 points for the Lakers.

This was just the second time this season the Mavs failed to score at least 100 points.

The Mavs will play their final game of 2019 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.
